Industry Background: From Early Research to Industrial Deployment
Research into elastic putty–based damping materials began in the 1960s, with early development led by European research institutions. By the 1980s, the technology had reached industrial maturity in several European countries. Since then, countries including Poland, Russia, France, and the United States have developed their own high-performance elastic putty dampers tailored to national industrial and defense requirements.
These systems have been widely deployed in demanding applications such as military equipment, construction machinery, steel production facilities, bridge structures, railway rolling stock, and other heavy-duty vibration control scenarios where conventional dampers fail to deliver sufficient service life or reliability.
Industry Gap: Limited High-Capacity Solutions in Emerging Markets
Domestic research and application of elastic putty dampers began in the 1990s. Early products were mainly limited to low-capacity damping systems, and their overall performance could not match that of established international solutions. High-capacity elastic putty dampers for heavy-load applications—such as high-speed rail and large-scale infrastructure—have only recently entered the development stage, and the technology is still in the process of maturation.
As a result, many critical industries have historically relied on imported damping systems, particularly in applications requiring long service life, wide temperature resistance, and high energy absorption capacity.
Market Expansion Driven by Infrastructure Growth
With the rapid expansion of high-speed rail networks and highway infrastructure in recent years, the demand for reliable, low-maintenance damping solutions has increased significantly. Elastic putty dampers are now being adopted across a much broader range of applications, driven by their durability, stability, and long service intervals.
Engineering Solution: Industrial-Grade Elastic Putty Developed with National Research Support
Over the past several years, our company has received strong technical support from leading institutions and industrial partners, including CRRC, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, CSSC, and multiple national research institutes. Through this collaboration, we have independently developed elastic putty materials with stable quality and repeatable performance suitable for large-scale industrial use.
Our elastic putty damping systems are now supplied to both domestic and international damper manufacturers and are exported to markets such as Russia. These systems have been successfully deployed across a wide range of high-demand sectors, including aerospace, high-speed rail, armored vehicles, nuclear submarines, ships, aircraft, bridges, metallurgy, mining, and offshore platforms.
